Knowlesy McTwist - DIY Legend Shocks the Skateboarding World

Nick Knowles. You know the guy right? The one that fixes up houses for the poor, smiles like a 60's sex symbol, and sings like a crooner. He's the guy that every woman over 50 (including your mum) wants to meet. He is surely the man with the most aging fan demographic in the UK. However, it seems like this is about to change.

In a dramatic Social Media post, the DIY Legend has shown his fans, and the rest of the UK, that he is still 'down with the kids' by posting a 20 second video of him performing a unique skateboard trick on a half-pipe!

The video, now removed for reasons unknown, showed the aging TV star performing what some have dubbed the 'Knowlesy McTwist' in honour of the original McTwist, invented by American skateboarder Mike McGill. With striking similarity to the original trick, an inverted 540 degree mute grab aerial, Knowles has adapted it to include what seems to be a 'Mic Drop'.

James Dwebble, a lifelong Skateboarding fan, saw the video before it was pulled and commented, "I couldn't believe what I was seeing. Firstly, the trick itself is one of the most innovative new moves for years. If I wasn't shocked at this, I was blown away when Knowles turned to the camera and produced his trademark charming smile".

Social Media has blown up since the video premiered, and more so since it's removal. Some suggest that this is a promotional stunt for his upcoming album, "Tunes of the Elders", but due to the video seemingly being aimed at the youth demographic, others disagree.

So, is the video legit? Did CGI play a part in showing Knowles hidden talent? And was it just a publicity stunt, or Nick declaring to the world that he has the skills to pay the bills?

Hopefully we will find out soon, but for now we can only pay tribute to the man. A true legend!
